Privacy Policy (“Policy”) for the website and application of Legal Buddy

PLEASE READ THIS POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE CREATING AN ACCOUNT OR USING ANY FEATURE OF THE APPLICATION. HOWEVER, BY USING THE APPLICATION, YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY AGREEING TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS OF THIS POLICY. “We”, “Us”, “Our” relates to and is referred to for Legal Buddy and “You”, “Your”, relates to and is referred to for any person who creates an account on the website.

This Policy applies to all of our features, websites, applications and related services, collectively referred here as our Services. 2. What personal data we collect and why?

Our philosophy revolves on the principles of data privacy laws and thus first most essential principle, we limit ourselves to take any personal data of any person, unless essential or necessary to deliver the services or experience. Further, we use the required information /data only for the purposes for which it is provided for and do not share data with any unknown or unidentified third parties, for any commercial benefits. Accordingly, we may source, use and otherwise process your personal data in different ways but for the process for which it is obtained.

In all cases we are committed to protecting your personal data. In each of the sections listed below, we describe how we obtain your personal data and how we treat it. We collect very limited data related to users of our Services and process the same for improvement, up-gradation, learning to improvise the Service offering.

f) Your messages to the Services like any feedback you submitted about your experience with us; and/or

We will process your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected in connection with the provision of service to you, unless we have a legal right or obligation to retain the data for a longer period, or the data is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Once you close your account on your written request the information shall be deleted. Alternatively, you can write to us at dpo@legalbuddy.in for removal of data and we will delete your data from all our records /servers, within reasonable period.

3. Who do we share your personal data with ?

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. However, we may share your information with the following types of service providers:

a) technical support providers who assist with our website and IT infrastructure,

b) third party software providers, including ‘software as a service’ solution providers, where the provider hosts the relevant personal data on our behalf;

c) professional advisers such as solicitors, accountants, tax advisors, auditors and insurance brokers;

d) providers that help us generate and collate reviews in relation to our goods and services;

e) our advertising and promotional agencies and consultants and those organisations or online platforms selected by us to carry out marketing campaigns on our behalf and to advertise their own products or services that may be of interest to you; and/or

f) service providers that assist us in providing our services.

Law enforcement or government bodies. We may disclose your personal data as permitted by law in order to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, violation of our intellectual property rights, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violation of our Terms and Conditions or other agreements, or as required by law.

4. Your Rights

You are entitled to obtain information from us on how we handle your personal data, to see copies of all personal data held by us and to request that your personal data is amended, corrected or deleted from our systems. You can also limit, restrict or object to the processing of your data and have a legitimate right to forgot.

We do not carry out any decision-making based solely on automated processing, including profiling and thus, we do not keep track of personal data.

If you gave us your consent to use your data, e.g. so that we can send you marketing emails or display personalized ads, you can withdraw your consent at any time.

Please note that even if you withdraw your consent, we can still rely on the consent you gave as the lawful basis for processing your personal data before you withdrew your consent.

5. Amendments

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law, our data collection and use practices, the features of our Services, or advancements in technology. Use of information we collect is subject to this Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify the changes to you through the Portal. Please review the changes carefully. Your continued use of the Services following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy will constitute your consent and acceptance of those changes.

6. Cancellation Policy

The User can choose to cancel its subscription any time. However, any subscription bought for which invoice is issued cannot be made void and User has to consume the services. In case of any deficiency where the Services are not provided by Legal Buddy, the order is canceled to initiate refund.

In case of any cancellation from Legal Buddy, due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be initiated for non-use of subscription.

7. Refund Policy

We do not encourage refund and thus advice User to be fully sure of the utility before placing any order or subscription. The Company do no solicit or forceful collect the same and subscription are out of the free well, consent and choice of the Users.

Thus, unless there is a failure or compelling reasons for non-delivery of services for which the amount is collected by Legal Buddy, we do not promote refunds

Do read all policies and terms and conditions carefully to understand the policies and terms of use, before subscribing.

As the payment is collected through a third-party service provider, in case of any delay, technical fault or other any other reasons where the amount is not received by Legal Buddy, we recommend to reach to the portal through which the payment has been made.
